Gamification in Grammar, Make Learning Fun for Everyone

Grammar has been associated throughout the years with blunt memorization of set rules that must be followed to the letter. Such a tedious labor will always act as a deterrent to both learners and educators alike, hindering them from consolidating the focal educational points of the lesson. Gamification is an innovative pedagogical approach that has become an integral aspect to learning as it ignites students’ interest in the lesson. Find out how to make your class more engaging by infusing it with techniques that will not only make your students more susceptible to learning, but have an entertaining time doing so.

Disappointing Writing Scores: Practical Ways to Up Your Students' Grades

Whatever language examination your students are sitting, no matter what the language or awarding organisation, grades in the Writing paper are frequently disappointing (to say the least!), particularly when compared to grades achieved in the Reading, Listening or Speaking papers. This should not come as a surprise, however: even native speakers generally find it a greater challenge to express their thoughts clearly on the page than vocally. Good writing demands specific skills.

Focusing on the ‘paradigm shift’ required between B2 and C1/C2, today we shall investigate precisely what is needed for our students to attain a respectable grade in Cambridge English, IELTS and other examinations.
