This talk focuses on the benefits of innovation in our schools. We need to continually innovate to achieve growth and to delight our students.  Schools cannot survive and thrive without Innovation.

Successful leaders have a vision for the future of the school, develop a strategy to implement that vision, and know how to empower staff to be innovative, in order to increase the competitive advantage of the school.

One of the key business drivers in the 21st century is innovation – and especially disruptive innovation, as outlined in the work of Clayton Christensen.

The film & digital camera businesses died; the CD & DVD business is dying; the textbook business is teetering and real-world shops are closing; non-online learning may be under threat.

All have been attacked by disruptive innovation that has undermined their business by bringing new products and services to market at a lower cost, with enhanced convenience, providing a more attractive value proposition for customers.

How could this affect language education businesses?

We need to understand and learn from our changing context, so we can identify best practice and design innovations in language education.
